Jaslok Hospital is a Charitable Trust Hospital, registered and governed under Maharashtra Public Trusts Act, 1950 (formerly the Bombay Public Trusts Act, 1950), whereby we are required to and abide by the act and reserve 10% of operational beds for completely free treatment for indigent patients and 10% at concessional rates for weaker sections.
Additionally, with a mandatory charity obligation of 2% of gross revenue as prescribed in the Charity Commissioner guidelines, with support from Trusts and CSR partners, we are able to achieve an additional 3.45%. Thus making a total charity support of 5.45% of gross revenue.
