Introduction:

Dr. Ashwini Deshpande is a senior radiologist with over 20 years of experience in the field of ultrasound and diagnostic imaging. She completed her M.B.B.S. from the prestigious Grant Medical College and Sir J.J. Group of Hospitals, Mumbai, followed by her post-graduate training in Radiology from Lokmanya Tilak Medical College and Sion Hospital, Mumbai.

Dr. Deshpande further honed her expertise through an international clinical research fellowship in chest and abdominal imaging at The Princess Margaret Hospital, University of Toronto, Canada. Her key areas of interest include colour Doppler studies, transplant ultrasound, women’s imaging, and ultrasound-guided interventions.

At Jaslok Hospital & Research Centre, she plays a pivotal role not only in patient diagnostics but also in the academic development of future radiologists. She is actively involved in teaching and training DNB Radiology students, helping shape the next generation of medical imaging specialists.

In addition to her clinical and academic roles, Dr. Deshpande has pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Hospital Management (Executive) from the National Institute of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi (2020–2021), a program recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). This additional qualification equips her with a well-rounded perspective on healthcare delivery and hospital operations.
