Introduction:

Dr. Nitin Chaubal is attached to Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre, Mumbai (India) as Consultant and Thane Ultrasound Centre, Thane (India) as Director, since 1986. The title of Emeritus Professor was conferred upon him by the D. Y. Patil University, Navi Mumbai, India in the year 2018. He has been a DNB guide for many years.
He has been invited regularly as a speaker in numerous international conferences including the most prestigious RSNA (Society of Radiologists of North America), WFUMB(World Federation of Ultrasound in Medicine & Biology), AIUM (American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine ,USA), SRU(Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound, USA), AFSUMB (Asian Federation of Ultrasound in Medicine & Biology), EFSUMB (European Society of Ultrasound in Medicine & Biology)
He has been an invited faculty in the University of Malaye, (KL, Malaysia) and has conducted numerous workshops in almost every Asian country.   
He has published many scientific articles in international peer reviewed journals as well as national journals. And has co-authored several books. 
He has served on the editorial board of Indian Journal of Radiology, Biomedical Imaging and Intervention Journal, Malaysia, Korean Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology etc. 

He is a Member on WFUMB committee on establishing International guidelines on contrast enhanced Ultrasound. He is the Ex-President of Indian Federation of Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology, Board member of International advisory committee for Ultrasound GI–Philips International, Ex-Chairman scientific committee Asian Federation of Societies in Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology.  

He has received many awards and orations including Dr. J.C.Bose Oration Indian Radiological & Imaging Association  meet,  Jisan Oration of Korean Society of Ultrasound in Medicine, Seoul; Award of Recognition SUMROC ( Taiwan Society of Ultrasound),  Deodhar Oration IMA Thane 2015, Prof. P. K. Dekaoration Assam.—Newer Techniques in Gynecology Ultrasound--case based series, Dr Tulsio Gwalani Oration –Fetal Posterior Fossa—Sonobuzz 2022 and  Dr N. C. Deshmukh Oration MAHARAD Pune 2023.
