Introduction:

Dr. Pooja Vyas has been working as a Full Time Consultant in Ultrasound Department at Jaslok Hospital & Research Centre since 7 years. She is passionate about Women's Imaging including pelvic and Breast ultrasound and spends her day, helping her patients and referring consultants reach accurate diagnoses. 

She is trained in Advanced Obstetrics and gynecological ultrasound from Mediscan chennai and routinely performs obstetric ultrasounds including NT/NB scan, TIFFA and Fetal Echocardiography along with fetal interventions like Amniocentesis and chorionic villous sampling.

She has also been trained in Transplant Sonography at Amrita kochi and uses her expertise to help Transplant patients coming to the department for pre-op evaluations, intra-operative ultrasounds in liasioning with Renal and Liver transplant teams and post-op follow ups. She is an integral part of transplant teams at JHRC. 

She also underwent Musculoskeletal ultrasound training with UCAM (SPAIN) and performs diagnostic ultrasounds as well as MSK interventions.

Dr. Pooja is passionate about evolving technology and routinely includes it into her practice including but not limited to upcoming applications of Elastography in Liver fibrosis and fat estimation along with thyroid, breast, prostate and MSK cases. She routinely performs contrast enhanced ultrasound in indicated cases and is also helping develop AI tools for increasing efficacy and diagnostic accuracy in day to day ultrasound.

She is a firm believer that spreading knowledge is the best form of service to field of Medicine and patients alike and hence is regularly involved in imparting training to DNB students with hands-on workshops, seminars and Multidisciplinary discussions.
