What You'll Do:
  1. Provide full medical care in ICU for both inpatients and outpatients as per MCI and Government guidelines.
  2. Lead, organize, and evaluate ICU operations, ensuring the highest standards of patient care from evaluation to discharge.
  3. Direct day-to-day functioning of the ICU in line with best practice guidelines and regulations.
  4. Supervise clinical care of ICU patients, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
  5. Guide ICU physicians in clinical, administrative, and teaching duties.
  6. Ensure adherence to departmental policies including infection control, documentation, and record-keeping.
  7. Monitor and maintain proper functioning of ICU services and equipment (e.g., ECHO).
  8. Attend to patients from all specialties and manage referrals, updating primary treating consultants.
  9. Collect patient evaluation results and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  10. Participate in research activities, clinical training, and CMEs.
  11. Report untoward incidents or accidents to the HOD.
  12. Perform night duties and other tasks assigned by the Head of Department.

Job Summary: Jaslok Hospital & Research Centre, Mumbai, is seeking a Clinical Associate / Senior Registrar for the Critical Care Department. The role involves managing critically ill patients, performing emergency interventions and bedside procedures, supporting ICU monitoring, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality critical care.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Monitor and manage ICU patients, including ventilated and post-operative cases.
  2. Perform emergency procedures and interventions including CPR and airway management.
  3. Conduct bedside critical procedures (CVP line, arterial line, lumbar puncture, pleural tapping, Foley catheterization, sterile dressing, drain removal).
  4. Operate and maintain ICU equipment (ventilators, infusion pumps, cardiac monitors, ECG machines, suction apparatus, ambu bag, nebulization machines, mucous extractor, glucometer).
  5. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team for patient care.
  6. Ensure patient safety, infection control, and accurate documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  1. Education: MBBS (Mandatory), MD/DNB in Medicine / Anaesthesia / Chest Medicine / Emergency Medicine / Pulmonary Medicine preferred.
  2. Experience: 0–4 years in ICU / Critical Care.
  3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in critical care procedures, ventilator management, emergency interventions, and patient monitoring.
  4. Soft Skills: Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, communication, and ability to perform efficiently under high-pressure situations.
