What You'll Do:
  1. Patient care: Assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care.
  2. Supervision & team management: Delegating tasks, supervising junior staff, and participating in appraisals.
  3. Equipment & resource management: Reporting issues and using resources efficiently.
  4. Quality & compliance: Participating in quality assurance, infection control, and hospital policies.
  5. Communication & liaison: Coordinating with doctors, lab/X-ray, pharmacy, biomedical engineers, patients, and families.
  6. Professional development: Attending training, CMEs, and keeping knowledge up-to-date.

Summary:
The Staff Nurse will support ward operations by delivering high-quality patient care, supervising junior staff, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring adherence to hospital protocols and infection control standards. The role also involves contributing to staff training and professional development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assess and document patient condition; identify actual and potential problems.
  2. Plan, deliver, and update nursing care; delegate and supervise junior staff.
  3. Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals.
  4. Report malfunctioning equipment and utilize ward resources efficiently.
  5. Participate in Nursing Quality Assurance programs and unit-based quality initiatives.
  6. Ensure adherence to hospital policies, infection control, and documentation standards.
  7. Collaborate with doctors, lab/X-ray teams, pharmacy, biomedical engineers, and other stakeholders.
  8. Attend nursing meetings, training sessions, and CMEs to stay updated.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  1. Education: GNM / B.Sc Nursing; Registered Nurse with Maharashtra Nursing Council. Post-certification or specialty training preferred.
  2. Experience: 0 to 5 years in ward or hospital nursing; NABH/JCI hospital experience preferred.
  3. Technical Skills: Knowledge of nursing protocols, patient care practices, infection control, and ward operations.
  4. Soft Skills: Empathy, communication, teamwork, clinical judgment.
