ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
     
 

Department of Pediatrics has state-of-the-art equipment with highly-qualified consultants having out-door, in-door and emergency services .

 
   
   


FACILITIES & SERVICES
 
 

The department has constantly updated its service component with appointment of super-specialists, which resulted in speciality outdoor services in Neurology, Developmental Pediatrics and Rheumatology. Some other speciality outpatient clinics are in pipeline, besides regular outdoor services operating daily excepts on Sundays. Well-trained neonatologist adds to the care of the newborns.

  
 
 
  Pediatric Rheumatology :  
  Jaslok Hospital offers the services of a pediatric rheumatologist through an out-patient clinic which runs twice a week. Currently this is the only one of its kind in Mumbai, India. Children with diseases such as juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, SLE, Kawasaki disease, sarcoidosis and other bone/muscle/joint complaints are seen at this clinic and given personalized attention.  
     
 

IPCU/NICU:

  
 
Well-trained critical care specialist pediatrician who handles every kind of emergency effectively. Besides, sick infants and children from other hospitals requiring advanced intensive care are escorted by the intensivist and transported in stable condition with adequate support during transit.

Department also has preventive services with active promotion of breast feeding and immunization facilities.

Department looks after health of destitute children from “Bal-Asha” and offers them free services.
