The Department was established 30 years ago by Padmabhushan Prof. Dr. R. D. Lele. This was a pioneer department of Nuclear Medicine in private hospital in the country.
The Department is a recognized training center for DNB (Nuclear Medicine) examination of the National Board of Examination. 1 candidate is taken every year for training. Over 20 candidates have successfully passed out so far.

FDG PET scan of brain for diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, temporal lobe epilepsy, brain tumors.
Therapeutic facilities
The Department is the only one in the city of Mumbai in private sector to offer therapy for cancer of thyroid with high dose radioiodine. A special isolation ward is available.
