The Department of Gynaecology & Obstretrics have
ten renowned consultants on the Panel and each one of
them is outstanding in their own capacities.
The maternity ward is situated on the
8th Floor of Jaslok Hospital and services are available
round the clock. The Hospital has a delivery rate of
350 – 400 deliveries per year. It has facilities
for antenatal care. For conducting admission test and
for antenatal fetal monitoring the Cardio toco graphy
machine is available.
A state of the art labour room is available
on the 8th Floor. It has all means for instrumental
deliveries. It also has a Boyle’s apparatus in
case of emergencies. A Pediatric resuscitation area
with warmer is situated within the labour room for essential
& immediate care. A nursery for the newborn is available
on the 8th Floor to guide the mothers with their newborns.
Anaesthesia department assistance is available for epidural
and labour analgesia.
The O.T. is situated on the 18th Floor
with four lifts available for fast mobilization of patients
to the O.T.
In the field of Gynecology the department
has facilities for state of art endoscopic surgeries
to be performed. For the back up, we have the most sophisticated
sonography machines at our disposal and also a CT /
MRI / PET Scans and a DSA laboratory for embolisation
to be offered.
In addition, we have the latest RIA
Lab. / Pathology / Microbiology and Haematology along
with Biochemistry labs which are available round the
clock. Trained staff in every department right from
Nursing to the O.T. and residential staff make sure
that every patient has a memorable stay in the Hospital.
Also the Neonatology department services
are available round the clock for the pre-term babies.
The NICU department has state of the art machine &
ventilators are available for the needs of the pre-term
babies. The OutPatient department has facilities for
Colposcopy to be done. And screening & diagnosis
of cancer are done. The department also runs a menopausal
clinic twice a week along with the routine Obstretrics
& Gyenaecology clinic. The department also offers
family planning services for the patients. |
