Since 1992 the department has started Laparoscopic operations with imported camera, halogen light source, & electronic CQ2 gas insufflator capable of delivering CO2 it the rate of 10-20 Litres per minute. Apart from Laparoscopic removal of gallbladder,other operations like bile duct explorations, appendicectomy, hernia repair, colonic excision, splenectomy etc. are also performed laparoscopically.
