 ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
 

 
The Jaslok Hospital Cardiology Department is commonly recognised as one of the leading centers for best quality cardiac care. Patients from cardiac centers all over India are received and treated in this department.

It is a high volume centre with over 2500 coronary angiographies, 700 angioplasties and more than 100-pacemaker implantations being performed annually.

It has two fully equipped, State-of-Art, digitized and functioning Cath-Labs, being amongst the few in the city, which are available for carrying out procedures round the clock.

This permits us to perform Primary Angioplasty for patients with acute heart attack in the shortest time, thereby saving many lives.

 
Services Available
 
  • To facilitate successful angioplasty in complex cases the cath labs are equipped with intravascular ultrasound, Rotablator, PTMR, IAPB, special thrombus extraction catheters and delivery catheters.
  • Insertion of a variety of stents including the latest medicated, drug coated stents.
  • Latest equipment for EP study and Radio frequency ablation for diagnosis and treatment of Cardiac arrhythmias.
  • Implantation of AICDs and combination devices.
  • Biventricular pacing for heart failure.
  • Balloon Mitral Valvuloplasty.
 

Non-Invasive Cardiology

  • Stress test, 2D-Echo and Colour Doppler
  • Transeosoplageal Echocardiography.
  • 24 hr. Ambulatory Holter Monitoring
  • Adenosine thallium and dobutamine 2D-Echo
Paediatric Cardiology
 
  • Diagnosis by Cardiac Catheterisation and interventional treatment including closure of PDA, ASD and pulmonary and aortic valvuloplasty in children.
 
Heart Failure Clinic

No other hospital in the city has a more perfect background for organ transplant surgery, kidney, liver and now Heart Transplant.  Heart failure treatment has watched galloping strides over the last decade.  In consistence with our basic goal of providing excellence, we have decided to open a Heart Failure Clinic.  Jaslok’s Heart Centre is best equipped in the city.
