Jaslok Hospital offers the services of a pediatric
rheumatologist through an out-patient clinic which
runs twice a week. Currently this is the only one
of its kind in Mumbai, India. Children with diseases
such as juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, SLE, Kawasaki
disease, sarcoidosis and other bone/muscle/joint complaints
are seen at this clinic and given personalized attention.
The department is highly acclaimed, and has excellent
contacts with overseas specialists geared towards
mutual exchange of knowledge. The clinic is also involved
in research projects, having recently completed two
projects on joint hypermobility and growing pains
in children.
