BLOOD DONATION CAMPS :

Blood is collected from donation camps. These units were converted into different components, like packed red cells, FFP, Platelets and Cryoprecipitate which have been utilized effectively in various treatments requiring blood and blood products in our own hospital. Voluntary camps allow blood banks to prepare components according to the requirements of the blood bank rather than to the needs of the patients per se so that the necessary components are available at the right time.

Jaslok Hospital is a member of the Federation of Bombay Blood Banks. This federation consists of nearly 40 hospitals across the city and allows the exchange of blood and blood products across its member hospitals whenever the need arises.
