Introduction:

Dr. Prasad Bhagunde is the Head of SportsOrtho, Arthroscopy, Sports medicine & Shoulder Service at Jaslok Hospital & Research Centre in Mumbai.

With extensive experience in knee and shoulder arthroscopy and joint preservation, Dr. Bhagunde serves as India’s representative for xenograft and allograft surgeries for rotator cuff tears. He has successfully performed over 8,000 arthroscopy surgeries, achieving the highest patient satisfaction. He is an active member of the Indian Arthroscopy Society and the Indian Cartilage Society. Additionally, he is a partner for centre of excellence at the Abhinav Bindra Foundation for Indian Sportspersons.

Dr. Bhagunde's work in arthroscopy is renowned across India, also internationally as he is the sole visiting surgeon for arthroscopy in Tanzania.

He has treated many prominent Indian athletes, including Indian footballer Jayesh Rane for his sports injury. He has also treated numerous district and state-level football players, cricketers, and kabaddi athletes.
