Dr. Pravin Mhatre retired as Honorary Professor of Obstetrics & Gynaecology with 40 years’ tenure (1985 to 2015) at Seth G. S. Medical College. For over 4 decades, he has made distinguished contribution to the discipline of obstetrics and gynaecology, as a researcher, author, professor, teacher and social activist. These contributions may be categorized into four broad arenas; scholastic achievements, research, teaching and social responsibilities.
