The Department of Urology at the Jaslok Hospital was established more than three decades ago, in 1973. It was the first fully equipped teaching hospital in the Private Sector in India. It has on its staff urologists of National and International fame and credibility.
Achievements
It was amongst the first departments to establish
Renal Transplants in 1975 (Live and Cadaveric)
Lower Tract EndoUrology in 1973.
Upper Tract Endo Urology (PCNL’s, URS, and ESWL) in 1989.
Andrology in 1989, along with the finest department in India in Assisted Reproduction.
Paediatric Urology in 1975.
Laparoscopic Urology in 2002.
